APPLICATION: A range of gas fired unit heaters purpose designed for external or rooftop location and available with three different fan static pressure levels. External unit heaters are suitable for a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications where space and/or environmental criteria inhibit internal siting.

BUILDING REGULATIONS & ECA APPROVAL: All Benson Variante2 gas unit heaters are designed with fuel efficiency in mind and meet the efficiency requirements of Part L2B of current Building Regulations as well as applicable CE legislation. Additionally all models within the range have been rated to meet the Governments energy efficiency criteria for inclusion into the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme.

CONSTRUCTION: The casing is robotically formed from electro zinc coated steel sheet and finished with a durable stove enamelled epoxy polyester powder paint to form a weatherproof IP44 rated monocoque. The heat exchanger is formed without the need for welding from either aluminised or stainless steel to form a four pass multi-tube assembly.

BURNER: High efficiency low noise multi flame in-shot burner complete with automatic ignition and full flame safety monitoring. Available for natural gas or lpg propane.

CONTROLS: Heaters are ready for automatic operation after the simple connection of time and temperature controls. Benson offers two control options the CP2 incorporating a digital time switch, mechanical day temperature and frost protection thermostats. Alternatively heaters may be specified with a fully optimised CP4 control which includes a secure entry code facility, temperature dependent start time, digital time switch with override facility, electronic day thermostat and frost protection thermostat. Fully optimised control obligatory for ECA applications. Both options provide fan only operation for summer air movement.

AIR DISTRIBUTION: All EVRC heaters are fitted with powerful centrifugal fan sets with each fan being housed within a purpose designed plenum which is, itself, lined with sound and temperature resistant insulation. Three alternative fan selections are available for each model up to a maximum of 500 Pa external static pressure.

TESTING: Every heater is individually inspected, test fired and safety function tested prior to despatch.
