In certain situations it is advantageous to spread the total required heat output over several boilers. This is made possible by means of a cascade system.

In a cascade set-up, boilers are connected together with the help of hydraulic groups and a sequence controller (cascade manager) to precisely meet the heat demand of the property. According to the heat demand boilers can be switched on or off respectively.

EHS Ambassador and EHS CD wall-hung boilers are particularly suitable for use in a cascade configuration due to their compact space-saving design, integrated cascade control and various external control options.

Using the integrated cascade manager, a maximum of 12 EHS Ambassador boilers can be controlled in a cascade * boilers within the cascade system can be switched off or on according to the heat demand, whereas the output of the cascade system can be modulated in a 1:4 ratio (e.g. 48-1440 kW). Hence, optimum output regulation at every moment of operation is secured. The cascade manager provides momentary operation information of the whole cascade system.

For the larger scaled projects, EHS offers the floor standing Senator range which comes with capacities of 400 and 550 kW respectively. A back to back cascade configuration with 4 Senators makes it possible to generate 2.2 MW output in a 3.5 sq m area.
